We are still getting things done during the cold period. We hit our low, 17 degrees on 2/15, that will probably be our low for the year. Even though there is nothing growing and very little mowing is required other than cleaning off a surface, there are loads of things we would like to get done by the start of the season. We have continued our in-depth tree trimming and cleanup in all our desert areas, continue to fix and level leaking/old irrigation heads and raise valve boxes. We also have addressed some of our issues at our maintenance shop during frost delays(e.g. modify and fix our pipe rack, clean and install new shelving for chem room, making a new seed container bin and a reorganization of our work bays).
Mid January and we started the morning at 30 degrees with snow flurries .........
Desert Prune/Cleanup
We continue our "in depth" desert prune......we have mostly finished the trimming of trees on holes #1 through #12 . We still have limb piles to pick up so we are looking at the end of February for completion.
February 15th.....Some pics from Snow Day! A cold 22 Deg this morning!
MAINTENANCE SHOP/YARD
New heavy duty shelving for chem room anchored to the floor replacing the cheap flimsy shelving.
Finished......flashing and rubber coating applied to our seed/ loose fertilizer bins .
Late February......another blustery day !
