Looking back at the Sierra Vista Open......and some other stuff

Sierra Vista Open 2023

I just wanted to start by thanking the GMS crew for the awesome job prepping the course for the Open, not enough credit goes to these guys. We also wanted to thank the Huachucans for hosting this 38th edition of the Open and for all they do for the children of Southern Arizona. A special shout out to Brian Deibert and John Gusky. Last but not least, I wanted to thank our "Jefe" Bill Nauroth for coming down and helping out this week. Much appreciated Bill !

Just a few pics from the Sierra Vista Open

Just so everybody knows.......We DO NOT allow people to fish in our ponds.

What we tell the homeowners around the course when asked is to just call the police when you see anybody fishing in our ponds, after all this golf course is private property. On numerous occasions we have found dead wildlife around the ponds, (e.g., dead bird of prey found last week trapped in a ton of cut fishing line & numerous fish caught and left on the banks to die).

Also in the last two weeks we have seen a huge increase in ball marks on the greens and unfixed divots in the fairways and tees. A little help out there please!  A kind reminder for all:

Memorial Day

The GMS staff here at PDS wanted to wish everyone a safe Memorial Day Weekend. We honor the fallen soldiers that have fought to protect our freedom.
